Why CertAll?

Partnership to offer a low cost one stop service for organic producers seeking local and international certification for organic products.

A local certification and labelling scheme is critical to support sector development in the country. However, it is not economically feasible for small to medium size organic sectors in emerging markets to establish an internationally recognised certification service for the small number of operators in the country,

Being part of Certification Alliance allows organic sector organisations in emerging markets to develop competency and offer an internationally accredited inspection and certification service to local operators, at a reasonable cost.

Operators have access to a local office in the country who understands their situation and speak their language instead of dealing with an office far away, with people they never meet and explaining themselves over and over again over the telephone or email.

Operators through Certification Alliance have access to a wide range of organic certification and marketing support available through partner organisations, e.g. promotion at major market fairs; promotional listing in publications; etc.

Certification Alliance facilitates networking and collaboration between partner organisations for info and competency exchange as well as sharing resources for institutional capacity development, building strength and enhancing business profile as a group.

As the organic sector grows, regional trade will grow in importance. More than 70% of trade in agriculture in Asia is within the region.  Certification Alliance is an initiative to develop collaboration between the private sector and governments in the region to facilitate regional trade in organics in the coming future.

Last but not least, the Alliance is a group of socially committed organisations and individuals interested in developing a multinational collaboration business model as opposed to an international corporate business model in certification. It is a group of people who want to develop innovative Business models to make certification affordable and accessible for all operators who want to adopt organic principles in practice. This is the mission that unites the Alliance .
